Cohesion Lab · est. 2026
We help you organize, describe, and share your collection — whether it's a shoebox of family photos or a museum's full catalog.
Services
We work alongside you. First we figure out what your collection needs. Then we save your records in open, widely-supported formats chosen to stay readable for the long term.
How we work
First, your records should stay easy to find, open, share, and reuse for years to come[1]. Second, we treat collections with care — knowing where they came from, who they belong to, and how to pass that knowledge on[2]. When a collection comes from an Indigenous community, we work only in partnership with that community — and until we have an established Indigenous partnership, we decline Indigenous-collection work[3].
Who we serve
The same standards, sized to the collection. Whether it's 400 inherited textiles or four million records, the work rhymes.
Individual collectors
Families, genealogists, and private archivists with collections that deserve more than a spreadsheet.
Small and volunteer-run museums
One paid staff member, many volunteers, and records that outgrew the ledger a long time ago.
Private collections and estates
Foundations, estates, and corporate collections that deserve care worth their importance.
Public institutions
Libraries, archives, museums, and university collections that want to follow modern standards and serve their communities well.
